Mobile Device Friendly

Going Mobile: Enhanced site mobility for access by iPhone, Blackberry, Treo, PDA, and other small hand-held devices is another step toward increasing traffic to your Website.

Why .mobi?: The recent *sell out* of the iPhone sends a strong signal that the mobile community is more than ready for Web browsing on the go. A recent news article stated that, “The next generation of Mobile Device Technology promises lots of improvements.” The demand for more Mobile Device Friendly Websites is definitely on the rise. Now's the time to GO MOBILE. Jump in ahead of your competition.

GO MOBILE today. Choosing a good domain name is very important. Short, easy to remember, easy to type on a small cell phone or other hand-held device keyboard is a big advantage over, long, hard to remember, difficult to type URLs.

Search versus Direct Navigation: The choice is up to the user. Either way you'll probably get his/her visit to your .mobi friendlysite. Think about it. It is because of the natural thought process of the human mind. Looking for the obvious or logically thinking. Some may call it the common sense approach.

Taking the common sense approach: Let's assume you own and operate a training school of any type, i.e., crane, heavy equipment, truck driver school or water treatment operator school named, AAA Training School. Let's also assume you have a Website with that same name, AAAtrainingschool.com.

How do you think people will ever find your Website on the Web? If you think they'll find it by doing a search on Google, Yahoo, MSN, or some other popular SE, there's a slim chance it'll happen. Fact is, you're setting yourself up for a huge disappointment. Further, what keyword or phrase do you think the user would type in the SE query box? AAA training school? Not likely. How about, operator schools? Ah ha, that name has some relevance.

You may wonder, why should anyone bother with going to a search engine. Why not just take the logical step and type, operatorschools.com, in the address bar of their browser. My experience is that a high percentage of the people do just that, it's called “Direct Navigation”.

Curing the problem: Why not take the logical and most effective approach? Buy operatorschools.mobi and build a small site containing a brief summary of your business and contact information. Remember, cell phone and other small hand-held device users is a fast growing community.

Buy, operatorschools.com and redirect it to send visitors to your company Website. I currently have operatorschools.com and a few other good generic, subject related, domain names set to send visitors to the .mobi version. My objective is to reach the PC users and the mobile community.

Taking it to the limit: POWER PLAN

Under construction: CraneSafety.mobi      Starter site with lots of potential — make offer

Under construction: CraneAccidents.mobi — Not for sale

RentalCranes.mobi — A Premium domain name at a bargain price of ONLY $2,500.00
Extra Value: because subject related *keyword names* are easy to remember and rank high on the search engines.

For Sale: OperatorSchools.mobi — and the matching *.com* name, OperatorSchools.com. Owning the matching names will definitely ADD VALUE to each name.

Doing it by the book: January 1, 2008. I just did a search on Google.com using the search phrase, operator schools. I'm pleased to report that, operatorschools.com rated as follows:
Google Results 1 - 10 of about 692,000 for operator schools. We are the third listing after the sponsored links. Sponsored links pay for their top spots, we paid nothing. Nuf said. We'll let the high ratings speak for themselves.
